Replace Deteriorating Vehicle Training Track

Location: New land acquisition site just south of the Hualapai Water Campus
Estimated Completion: June 2028

The City of Scottsdale is relocating and replacing the deteriorated vehicle training track to better serve the needs of modern public safety operations. Originally designed for light-duty vehicles like motorcycles and automobiles before the city had a municipal Fire Department, the existing track has suffered excessive damage from the weight of larger, heavier fire equipment.  This critical infrastructure upgrade ensures that police, fire, and other municipal departments have a safe and reliable facility for emergency driving operations. By relocating the track to a new site and constructing it to handle modern equipment, the city avoids training delays caused by the constant repairs needed at the previous location.
