Repair Lakes and Irrigation at Vista del Camino Park
Status: Construction
Location: Vista del Camino Lakes (Indian Bend Wash)
Estimated Completion: June 2027
Project Overview The Vista del Camino Park lakes and irrigation systems are undergoing a comprehensive repair and modernization project to ensure the long-term sustainability of this critical recreation corridor. Spanning from McKellips Road to Thomas Road in the Indian Bend Wash, the existing lake infrastructure has experienced significant wear, including punctured liners, edge erosion, and spillway leaks.
In addition to structural lake repairs, the park’s outdated and undersized irrigation systems are being replaced with modern, water-efficient technologies. These vital upgrades will enhance water conservation efforts, improve overall water quality, and effectively resolve ongoing erosion issues. Once completed, the project will significantly lower annual operating costs while allowing for more effective community use of the park’s expansive open spaces.
